| A close-up view of the final score from Billy Mitchell's Donkey Kong effort - 1,047,200 (the poor quality was because the camera was hand-held). After this tape was shown, Walter Day announced that anyone (including Steve Wiebe) could take advantage of an offer from Billy - up until 4 PM tomorrow, there would be a $1,000 bounty for anyone topping one million points, and a $10,000 offer for anyone topping Billy's newly shown mark. In addition, Billy offered Donald Hayes $1,000 if he could perform a perfect game of Pac-Man, using the same grouping technique that Billy used when he did the score. Donald is the only other player to try this, versus patterns. |
