Nice stuff, Richie !!

Well, we're almost to the event !  I'll post the Mystery Titles in less than 3 hours, so look out for that !

Here's some quick notes to sum up some things not mentioned yet:

.  I'll have a few CAGDC t-shirts for sale at the tourney, and am honored to have 19 Team Wiebe shirts that Andrew Laidlaw sent me available too.  And, the prices are fantstic - just $15 for all sizes XL and under, add $2 for XXL, and add $2 for a pocket (only one CAGDC shirt has this, and no TW shirts have pockets).  See me at the event for these, and also for all my DVD's, which will have a $1 discount for tourney entrants.  I also have TG uncirculated tokens available, and one signed (by co-stars) KoK DVD.  Help support the site, and help me continue to make my gaming trips, by picking up some of these goodies !

The contest settings and notes have been updated and pretty much finalized.  Check 'em out.

. I'll be at Barcade in NYC after the tourney on Sunday (assuming no one is rockin' on a game !), probably in the 8:30 or 9 PM range, perhaps for about an hour, if anyone wants to come join a group of us gamers.  I might as well beat Don on Crystal Castles while I'm in the area !  Wink

That's it for now.  I'll post the Mystery Titles around midnight ET.

Here we go... the Mystery Titles for the CAGDC Tournament this year are:

Frogger, Journey, and Robotron !

Hopefully, one of your faves is in this group.

Also, check out the front and back sides of the entry form for the tourney.  Please try to keep all the info in mind for the event, even tho it's a lot to keep track of.  If you can, things will go smoothly !  Wink

Just getting my first Crazy Kong Kill Screen

« Reply #214 on: March 13, 2009, 08:45:07 AM »

I love Robotron but I'm not to good at Frogger and I suck at Journey. But my brother Jamie can score close to 100k.

I will also buy a CAGDC shirt and Brendan's Star Wars TGTS game and maybe another DVD! Grin

Hey all,

Just talked to Mark and got his small update:

Tim Szerby has been point pressing heavily on his DK WR attempts today.  His high is right around 581k.

Ben Falls has put up a score on D2K of just under 200k.

I'm sure more info will be posted shortly.

Piger,
We need an update about the 70 or players that showed up.

Heard the PAC-MANiA game is getting quite a workout.

Bill hard at work @ 2009 CAGDC Tourney

« Reply #224 on: March 16, 2009, 12:58:51 AM »

Just got back home a bit ago.  Here's a short recap of what I remember (running on about 7 hours total sleep for the weekend)

Great time! Richie and Mark did a really great job. Everyone was great, great to finally put a face and a personality to the names.

Final Results I remember:

1st Place Donald Hayes
2nd Place Bryan Wagner
3rd Place David Nelson

6th Place Dwayne Richard

and meeting my pre-tourney goal

10th Place Me

Somewhere in the gaps above: Jimmy Linderman & Ben Falls, sorry to anyone I forgot I am exhausted.

Tim's DK high as last I knew was the score noted 2 posts earlier in this thread.

Other great scores:

Eric Ahlers: Paperboy Easy Street WR 14?,???
Donald Hayes: 1 hr Dig Dug  1.9+ million

Sorry I can't recall more at the moment, Im sure someone else will be along with more info.
