Costanza no longer Master of His (Frogger) Domain

Perennial loser George Costanza (a fictional character from TV's Seinfeld) suffered the ultimate defeat shortly before the new year when Pat Laffaye of Westport, Connecticut surpassed not only his own non-fictional Frogger world record of 771,060 but George's (literally) unreal score of 860,630 with an incredible 896,980 points.  Pat's highest ever verified Frogger score also surpasses Donald Hayes' MAME record of 881,150.  Now, the race is on to 1 million points and the 256th board.

I wish I was going over this year (especially during an unprecidented November heatwave) but I'll have to watch from afar this year.

To anyone going this year for the first time you'll have a blast. Great atmosphere and great people. Plus I highly recommend the chicken nuggets in the golf centre OR the pizza downstairs in the Braggin Dragon when it's open.

To everyone I met last year or had already met on my first visit. I once again thank you for a fantastic week.

I'm looking forward to hearing about any high score exploits in the next week or so. I plan to come back either for the tournament in May/June or at the very latest next November. And I already can't wait.

Cheers

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

That's good to hear! We'll have a few pints in your honor this year then... Grin
with a plate of those nuggets, obviously.

maybe we can get a list going as to who is possibly coming. I will be there this sat and sun, then once during the week (not sure when yet).
