Fifth annual edition of the CAGDC Tourney rocked !

All attendees of the big year 5 edition of the Classic Arcade Gaming (dot com) Tournament agreed that this was the biggest and best one yet !  A record number of entrants and a record prize purse was just the beginning; records galore were set, and celebrities reigned !

Thanks go out to everyone that attended the event, held at Richie Knucklez' Arcade in March 2010.  And, a huge congratulations goes out to the four-peat winner, Donald Hayes !

Here's the first post in this new section on the forums that's designed to let you guys know when there's something new on the web site.  In addition to seeing the info here, I've also made it a lot easier to locate new things by merely looking for the red 'NEW' logo while you look around the site:

It will be shown next to the new content's link for exactly one month, and is set to automatically disappear after that point (try it out and see - just change your PC clock to 2 months ahead, and refresh the page).  Thus, a quick glance at the main page every few weeks will guide you to the latest and greatest goodies !

Now, here's what's new this month:

05-05-2007:  MEDIA: VIDEO & AUDIO FILES, TV show clips

I've just put up 2 new videos for a brand new category on the Media Files page - TV show clips.  But, I must admit to being a bit ashamed of one, as it features the wussy of public television - Mister Rogers !  Well, I guess he can't be that bad, as he did a show segment featuring Donkey Kong.  In addition to 'the sweatered one', I've got a clip showing one of the most clever skits from Seinfeld, which features George in his quest to preserve his Frogger score, as he moves the machine to his apartment.

05-11-2007:  FUNSPOT: JUNE 2003, WEIRS BEACH, NH

Better late than never - I just got around (a few years after the fact) to posting this set of pictures from the first contest that I'd been to in about 15 years !  Well, I waited too long, on both taking the trip, and doing the picture posting, but it's all ready now, so check it out !

That's it for the new content for now, but I'll be posting even more this month, before Funspot.  So, stay tuned, and, as always, enjoy...

Don't forget to add my Funspot II (June 2000) pictures that I posted.  You may as well make it as complete and IN ORDER as you can, to make viewers navigate the section more freely.

The pictures can be found in the following thread:

Thanks, John.  When I get caught up a bit (many months from now...), I'll start going thru the forums, and doing some archiving.  But, that has to wait for a bit, as I must put up pics for current events before I delve into the older stuff.

But, fear not - it will be done.  And, a big thanks go to you for your help in archiving past cag events !  Cool
