Should be listed on CL as 'Left Handed Arcade Cabinet'
Or for MDA...he likes the joystick on that side. Good memory, Ben ! At least they got this one designed right, and put the f'in joystick to the right of the buttons, where it belongs !! Well, you know how little room those trailers have Good one, SP !

WoW... practically fits right in with that "MAME cabs from hell" thread... [albatross comes to mind] 1. Cab desecrated - check2. Monstrosity created - check3. Hours of labor wasted - check4. $1,000 shot to hell - check [burning the cash would've been a much better use of the money] I congratulate him on this achievement. Is it just me or does it look like he's serving buffet? So unnatural to have to stand that far away from the cab with those 2 treasure chests blocking it...

Super-funny, Aart, and, sadly, super-accurate. Function and form can go together, but you'd never know it from some of these 'hillbilly' projects.
I almost wonder if the guy does own a trailer...

Now now mr singapura and mr administrator, let's not gang up on hillbilly folk... lots of ppl i know live in trailers... but then they pack up and go home when their vacation is over. Should be listed on CL as 'Left Handed Arcade Cabinet'
Or for MDA...he likes the joystick on that side. Good memory, Ben ! At least they got this one designed right, and put the f'in joystick to the right of the buttons, where it belongs !! I always felt the same way about joysticks belonging on the right... Strangely, i didn't really have any problem at all with Galaxian, where it's on the left. In fact, in FunSpot '08 when i played it again for the first time in 24 yrs, i hadn't even really noticed that it was on the left, until someone was discussing the position of joysticks with me one day (must been you then Mark lol)! I guess you just auto-adapt or something, and/or you remember the hand-movements you used to make on the machine which are engraved into your brain from playing it so much way back when, and you perceive it as natural.

Monstrosity is right! Question: What if you went over to this person's house one night, perhaps a night over at "a friend of a friend's house," and they unveiled this to you as a prized project they had been working on - what do you say to them when they ask your opinion about it?

I'd say to him that Amsterdam has better pot than whatever the hell he was on when he envisioned that POS. Okay i probably wouldn't say that out loud, but i'd be thinkin it. I might tell him what an ugly piece of crap... the space firebird he started off with was (just to scare him about what he thought i was gonna say). Or I might stick with the politically correct slash neutral "hmmm... interesting". Maybe I'd add "You worked on this... how long?" and then nod and pout my lip at his answer. Then we'd have a couple of beers so that my unrestrained laughter at his zombie rainbow cab would be perceived as light-headed folly.

I'd say to him that Amsterdam has better pot than whatever the hell he was on when he envisioned that POS. LMAO, Aart ! You should be a comedian ! Here's another fine piece of work: ... And just think, he'll custom build you a cab too. You can have your own custom craptacular arcade machine Another funny one - you guys are batting 1.000 in the laughs department ! And, horrifically, these cabinet kooks are batting 0.000 !! Fred, that 'salute' to Punch-Out!! you link to is so over-the-top that it makes a Tammy Faye makeup job seem understated...

Punch-Out Quite the sleek profile. I'm thinking an aquarium would've looked nice instead of the shadow box

It's the fine craftsmanship and attention to detail on that Punch-Out! cabinet that make me proud to be an American. I cringe at the thought of what he would do with Star Wars or TRON.

At least he knows where to keep his Punch Out, outside in the back yard with the other junk.
