Richie Knucklez' Arcade

Flemington, NJ

Richie Knucklez' Arcade, located about an hour northeast of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is an arcade store location that both caters to players who want an arcade to play at, and to those who are collectors, and wish to buy a machine.  It features what is likely the second largest classic video game collection in the world (currently almost 60 !), for an arcade that's open year-round.  In addition, the location couples that huge amount of classics with a small number of newer, and more modern, titles.  The owner, Richie Knucklez, does game repairs and sales during the week, and then holds events over the weekend at the arcade location.  Those events are a 'Flashback Friday', where players can play all evening for one low price, and birthday parties that are held throughout the weekend.  For more information on all of this, you can go to Richie's dedicated website.

Because of the great location, and what a great and caring person toward the players that Richie is, Mark Alpiger, owner of this website, picked Richie's location to be the one for the annual Classic Arcade Gaming (dot com) Tournament in 2009.  For more information (and pictures !) on that event, click here for the official web page.

As of August 2009, the arcade features these games:

On a trip to an event in Pennsylvania in September
2008, I made a side trip to New Jersey to see
Richie Knucklez.  Here he stands in front of his arcade business, with daughters Destiny (left) and Faith.

This is a view of the front of Richie's business
(officially titled Richie Knucklez' Arcade
Games
), showing his business info, and hours.

Inside, I (Mark Alpiger, left) and Richie strike a pose.

Here's a look at all the terrific classic
games down one side of the arcade.

Richie even has a few pinball
machines mixed in with the vids.

Two racing titles sit side-by-side.

The central area of the arcade sports a mix of new
and old titles, including everyone's favorite
- Missile Command.

Here's a look down the
other side wall of the location.

The rest of the view down the side is shown here.

Another look at the central area shows
two Atari titles - Food Fight, and 720°.

Laser Ghost is a rare 80's title.

Aart van Vliet, who took the trip to Richie's
with me, poses with a favorite title of
one of his friends - Phoenix.
